Which one do people prefer most usually?

Well most of the time the guy asks the girl out. But in 2007 most americans don't follow traditions like that anymore so either the guy or the girl can ask each other out. I think the girl likes it though when the guy asks her out. Makes her feel wanted lol

There is no wrong or right way: guys may ask girls out, or the other way around. The "traditional" rule says that the man always asks the lady out, but it's not the 50's anymore so that doesn't apply. If you like someone, whether you are a guy or a girl, you should be able to ask them out.
However, if you are a guy, you will probably have to do most of the asking since many girls still prefer that. I would not say that is so much a "traditional" preference of theirs rather than it's just easier for them to sit back and wait for the guy to ask!

Really it doesn't matter if a girl asks a guy out or a guy asking a girl out,but usually it's the guy asking the girl.

Sometimes the very best relationships are started by the female. This is because males are usually interested in sports or music just a little bit more than girls and sometimes are a bit "dorky". They often need encouragement because they may be "unsure" of their animal magnetism level. After they feel "wanted" the tiger comes out of the cage (albeit slowly betimes).

I think it should go either way. I really think girls should step up to the plate. They are so progressive in everything except romantic relationships. Which in my opinion, is not fair for guys. I think by the next century girls will start to asking guys out more. I hope so, i would like it more actually, it would be such a relief.
I see alot of answers saying that girls want to know that guys are interested. How do you think it feels for guys? Girls who play hard to get are plain bitches, and that goes for guys too. Dating shouldnt be so retarded and dysfunctional.

Well, in general, I think guys should ask girls out. Most girls would like that and see it as a sign of a gentleman. But if a girl likes a guy and he's really shy or he doesn't know her that well, she should ask him out .

i think most girls like the guy to ask her out. sometimes, on rare occasion, a girl will ask a guy out or make the first move, but that could be because she is tired of waiting for him. i think girls prefer to be asked out by guys.

I prefer to be asked out by a guy. It's just more romantic and traditional. However, I would let some awesome guy just slip right through my fingers. Though this no longer applies to me...it's just my advice.

boy mostely do the asking it really is by what you were brought up but mostly the guy has the fun asking out and we sit and wait. it is not good for girl to ask and it looks like you are chasing them.
