I am 18 years old , joined a college in uk last year !! I have confusing background ( partly russian,partly persian and partly tatar) !! From what people say apparently I am really good looking and have a good sense of fashion ( Not being arrogant , its just what i've heard from different people which i guess over time I believed in it) !! I am a bit geeky ( my subjects were maths , physics and furthermaths) !!
I found a friend after being 5 months at that college !! he was english and was the school's straight A student ( but he was cool and quite good looking) !! once I was talking to him on msn and was talking about the hottest girl at school and whether he thinks she is gonna go out with me or not !!! he said " forget about her m8, she is out of your league " !! what he said made me lose a lot of confidence !! I mean during that 5 months I knew that a russian girl and a serbian girl and 2 english girls had a crush on me !!! I mean i dont get it.. why wud he say that 2 me ?? :-(

Its possible that he knew of the girl and knew that she wouldn't go out with you. He probably was doing it to stop you from getting hurt or embarassed.
Just shake it off. If those other girls really did have crushes on you, ask one of them out. College is a time to have fun, don't worry about people being "out of your league". If you really like this girl then go for it, but he may just be trying to save you from future embarassment.

the most important thing now is if u like this girl go and ask her do not feel that Ur less or better than any one ppl are like each other Don't care about Wat Ur friend said may b he likes her or may be he is right to know u have to ask her first . The second important thing as girl i like a confident, cool, funny guy SO do not depend so much on Ur out looking

He's an arrogant snot. Either he thinks you're too poor for her, or she's noble blood or something stupid like that. And if he's interested in her, then he's really going to try to shoot you down. Don't listen to him, if you think you have a shot, take it. The worst that'll happen is she'll say no, but you won't be any worse of will you?

Lookie, he could be jealous. If I were in that situation I'd be jealous if I knew my friend had so many opposite sex people crushing on them. It'll make you loose confidence cuz it's coming from your friend but don't look too far into it and go with what you feel like doing.

I think u should go for the girl and find out yourself. I dont know you so I wouldn't know. You would be surprised who some pretty girls go out with. Go for and prove ur friend wrong.

Its just a personal opinion. Friends tell each other things, even if it is bad, and you should commend him for being blunt. If it werent for friends we would stumble around blind.
