Some of them do. I work for the Missouri Dept of Mental Health and we definitely have psychiatrists who accept Medicaid.

Psychiatrists are Medical Doctors as all the others, and some do accept Medicaid and some don't. Most Clinics do.Or if you want a Private Dr. make Phone calls and ask. Depending on the Medication you need, your Ob/Gyn.might be able to help you.

Yes there are psychiatrists who take medicaid. Don't go to your ob-gyn to get medication for a psychiatric problems they may not know the best ones for your condition and if they did give you medication I would wonder about their ethics. They should send you to a psychiatrist. Ask your General parctioner to recommend one and if they can't' see if the nearest hospital has a mental health center or know where one is? They should be able to direct you.

There are psychiatrists that accept medicaid, but you have to hunt them down. Every state is different, by the way.
I thin an ob/gyn would prescribe and can prescribe psychoactive medication depending how comfortable he feels about it. It may also depend what medication you want them to prescribe.

You simply have to ask till you find one.
I live in Minnesota. I have recieved government help to see a psychiatrist. They are out there. The government encourages prevention and repair to get you back to work or out of their hair.
I have wanted to go back to a psychiatrist but they say I not as crazy as I use to be darn I am no fun anymore. I need to lose another screw.

Some do. Call around.
Your ob/gyn probably won't write you perscriptions because he/she is not trained in mental health.
You could go to a general practicioner, or family doctor, and get treated.
Good Luck.

Ask your caseworker. In most places they have Community Mental Health Services or something similar.
