Took out an express credit card and payed $30 toward my $110 balance min. balance was $10 will this affect my credit history by not paying out my full balance?

No, as long as you pay the minimum by the due date, your credit history will show on time payment.

The bad part is carrying a balance doesn't help your credit score. It just costs you interest. It's a much better idea to only charge what you can afford to pay in full each month. No interest and you won't run up debt.

no. As long as you pay minimum payment by due date and your balance is 50% or below the credit limit, your credit score willnot affect. credit score gives about 30% weightage for credit utilization(total balances divided by total credit limit). People say 30-50% utilization is best.

No. The only thing that will affect it if is you don't pay the minimum balance and if you pay over 30 days late.

did you mean american express credit card ? anyway ..... if so, no it only effects your credit when you pay any bill more than 30 days past its due date .......... the american express card will now just charge you finance fee's ..... but if paid within 30 days of your due date ...your fine
