microdermabrasion facial??

Has anyone gotten this done before?
Exactly how does it work, how much did you pay, and how often do you have to get it done??

Hi I am an esthetician.
Microbrasion is a more powerful form of exfoliation.
Tiny crystals or beads, depending on what machine is used is blasted onto the skin surface and vaccuumed off at the same time.
It will remove the top layer of skin.
It's best to have it done 1-2 times a week depending on how sensitive you skin is for a course of 6 treatmnets, then you can have it done once a month for maintenance.
It is great for uneven skin colour, fine lines and acne sccaring.
Cost can be anywhere from $100-180 for 1 1/2hr treatment.
But it's important that you use appropriate homecare products and avoid the sun on the day it is done and 48hrs afterwards, after that it's really important to use sunscreen, if you don't and get sunburnt you are doing more damage to your skin and microdermabrasion will be least effective to the over all result that you are wanting.

I've had a series of 6 for $525 & was very satisfied w/ the results. The facials were done 2 weeks apart & my skin looked really good.

My esthetician recommended getting a microdermabrasion or glycolic peel every 4-6 months for maintenance.

You normally pay $100 to $200 depending if they are layering peels with the microdermabrasion. The treatment works very well and gives you noticeable results.

Eminence has one of the best microdermabrasion products... i get a microdermabrasion for $105 and it's a hour and a half using the microdermabrasion seed poppy and pear product by eminence.
