Just because he is the president of USA so Christianity has nothing to do w his action as a leader?
Being arrogant, I thought is what Jesus against strongly and those people will lose and sure go to hell. And this is bad for the people of America as many of them follow his idea.
One of his arrogance manifestation is invading Iraq.
Scared of terorrist??
Come on, USA is much stronger than Osama bn Laden.
BTW, Osama is not in Iraq anyway.
Is it not a big2 laugh to chase Osama in Iraq ???
Well, fellow Christian, what did Christ said you have to do against arrogance,
and what it says about chosing your leader.
Does it say anything ?? If not ....Why???
I put it here, because Mr. GWBush talked too much abt him & the family being a good Christian.
Why a good Christian lead to invade a country with false argument, see the result !!! It's pathetic.

W belongs to the Our Lady of Big Oil church. They worship money and power.
Bush is a dry alcoholic who hides behind Jesus and uses religion to keep sober. He has no more real faith than anyone else, he's just a more obvious hypocrite than most.
Edit** I guess I'm getting all those thumbs-down from the 26% that still support Bush.

He's a Methodist (much to their chagrin). His ideals however are political, not spiritual. When I say political I mean the meanest, lowest, dirtiest kind of political - not of the people, by the people and for the people - but of a power grab. The broad rule for impeachment is 'high crimes and misdemeanors'. One could easily argue that actions of Bush, Cheney and Gonzalez have all met this criteria. He was not elected by popular vote, he was elected by electoral college (the second such president to lose the popular vote and win the presidency) - even this required serious allegations of deciept and possible treason.
In my opinion there are two reasons for the war. One is ego - to avenge the family name. A stupid and arrogant reason for war if ever there was one. The second (and more sinister) is profit. His cronies are the biggest bunch of defense contractors in the world. They have made billions in blood money, and will make billions more repairing the damage. It is worse than pathetic.

I am not a Christian but I can tell you that his religion has nothing to do with him being arrogant. Arrogance is a character trait and people of all faiths and lack of faiths share it. Bush was raised with loads of money and a powerful family so he comes by it naturally.
Bush has to have a great deal of self confidence and that comes across as arrogance. I find it annoying myself.
I don't think we are looking for Osama in Iraq by the way. The USA believes he is Pakistan.
The reasons for invading Iraq were not to find Osama. It was to topple a dictator, which we did.
Bush ia an Anglican I believe.

Bush is Southern Methodist. You are right Jesus taught us to be humble not arrogant and boastful.
He is arrogant because just like all neo-cons he is nothing but a spoiled little rich boy that has never been held accountable for his behavior towards others. (I will bet he never got an as s warming once as a kid.)
As for Iraq that was a radical Republican (neo-con) farce from the get go. The arrogance of putting a "friendly" democracy into a society that had no desire for one and has no way to appreciate democracy is typical of their behavior.
It amazes me that Bush claims to be a man of family values yet he has destroyed 100,000 families (100,000 wounded and killed in Iraq) in America with his little sand box war game. Not to mention Iraq is a mess that will take 25 - 30 years to fix (over 3 million families destroyed there by the war.) Some family value that is!!
I know I will get many thumbs down for this from conservatives, but this is based on facts and my Christian faith (I am an ordained minister.)

What makes you think he really is a Christian? Would a real Christian belong to "The Brotherhood of The Death"?

You are confusing arrogance with confidence. Therein lies a big difference. Please bear in mind that the president has access to far more top secret and special intelligence briefings than you ever will. These briefings are world-wide in context and from them he must make the best decision possible.
Armchair presidents and generals can be the worst critics.
Bush may be Baptist--don't know for certain.

"But why is he so arrogant?"
Cos he's just a rich USian white boy who has never had to take responsibility for his actions. He and 90% of his administration ‘got out of’ going to Vietnam because they were chickenshït cowards with influence in the right places.
He worships the Dollar and is 'loyal' to his friends who help him scam and rape the USian public.
His use of religion shows hypocrisy as an art form.
[edit]
I didn't think I'd ever agree with a xian minister of religion.
Thanks "my_iq_135" - it's people like you who restore this old Aussie's faith in the USian people.

If he's a Christian, I really have to go back and read the Bible again. I think he just claimed to be a Christian to pander to the religious conservatives during the 2000 and 2004 elections. The policies that he has pursued as president sure aren't the same one's Jesus would support.

George W. Bush seldom attends church. And on those Sundays when he does, it is the non-evangelical, highly inclusive Episcopal church of his father, not a Washington branch of the United Methodist Church that his wife Laura led him to when he was seeking support to overcome his alcoholism in Midland, Texas.
