Jr can't take the 8 with him so how about this for a compromise? Use the number 33 and make the first "3" backwards thereby forming a crude "8"? I think that would be kinda cool. Harry Gant had a lot of success with the 33 so maybe it will rub off on Jr too.

Look, I'm no fan of the guy and actually get tired of seeing him as the "face" of NASCAR seeing as how he is so mediocre, but the Jr. Nation really is hung up on it.

The number 33 is under contract to R C R.Periodical the 33 car will run with Kerry Earnhardt.

Maybe he will drive the 08, or the 03. Who knows what number he is going to drive, although he has stated that he wants there to be an 8 in it because some of his fans have it on their bodies forever.

Haven't we heard enough about Jr. and his stinking number? Doe's it really make that much difference? His fans will treat him godlike no matter what he has or doe's, even though he is average at best. ENOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!!

an even better idea is to stop feeding the hype machine surrounding Dale Jr.
hes the 2nd most overrated athelete in the world(besides david beckham)
he has done nothing to earn any of the fan base he has or publicity he gets
hes fortunate his last name is earnhardt
