You're probably struggling through at least 1 of the top apologetics questions/statements.
1. Since evil and suffering exist, a loving God cannot.
2. Since miracles contradict science, they cannot be true
3. Evolution explains life, so God isn't needed
4. God isn't worthy of worship if he kills innocent children
5. It's offensive to claim Jesus is the only way to GOd
6. A loving God would never torute people in hell.
7. Church history is littered with oppression and violence.
8. I still have doubts, so I can't be a Christian.
If any or all of these, or anything else, is what you're struggling with, you can e-mail me at seth.p@centrum.cz
To me, it seems like I've always believed in God too. I was raised in church and around "churchy" people. But I always knew there was something wrong. When I got baptized, I didn't know what it meant. I remembering specifically saying "that was a good bath." It was all motions to me. Some empty shell of a lie that I was living, but I thought it looked pretty. Then I had to question everything. But don't stop at what people tell you. Keep digging after everyone's told you everything and you'll find the truth.
I found a lot of answers in Lee Strobel's books, starting with The Case for Faith.

Hi, I have the same feelings as you do. This does not mean that your faith is gone, this simply means that you are a very smart and intelligent person. If you truly believe that god is inside you, and that things can happen becasue of prayer, then you still have faith in him. I know its a scary thought that you might be loosing your daith in him, but you are not. Now, if any of these things are not coming for you..then think.. This is probly the best advice i can give you. Think good and hard about how lifw goes and how we came about and how we live the way you do. Think about how not all things can be explained by the science that we have. The bible is not always reliable so think on your own account, and you will find your way..PRAY..and may god bless you

Think about showing your thoughts and feelings and beliefs
here on R&S. The "God"less on this site seem to out number the believers. They do not encourage us in our faith, but continually try to tear it down. They promote only disbelief.
Many, I am sure would consider it a victory if you should abandon your faith in God. (don't even feign offense atheists)
Perhaps it would be wiser to find a more supportive web site.

How can you NOT doubt with Satan whispering in your ear? Ultimately faith is a choice regardless of so-called "evidence" for or against. But continue to pray/read scripture and change churches if the one you're going to isn't a bible-believing church or not deep in the spirit. We all have this struggle from time to time and as you wade through the mire of doubt, and PERSEVERE your faith will grow and you will find yourself even closer to God than when you began.

That is Satan playing with your head, rebuke him, he is deceiving you. God loves you, read the bible, pray to him, develop a relationship with him by talking to him all the time, he will listen and answer you.
Also, go outside and look at the beauty and awe he has created. The sunrises and sunsets, blue skies, rainbows, stars and moonlit skies, the birds and the music they make, smell the flowers. etc, etc. That will get you back in the right frame of mind. Remember rebuke Satan through Jesus Christ and he will flee from you and uou will not think these thoughts anymore. Will pray for you....God bless.

Instead of thinking of what you were raised to think,,, use some logic. Is God's existence probable? No. Does anything remotely scientific support the idea of God? No. You're smart... you're being enlightened. Go with it.

That is because he is not there.
What type of "All knowing god" Would expect humanity to believe in him through the words of a single book.
Doesn't seem like a smart God to me..
And why hasn't he shown himself in the last 2000 years... Has he forgotten about us? He used to appear frequently In Biblical times.

Try humanism instead. Humanism is a philosophy of life inspired by humanity and guided by reason. It provides the basis for a fulfilling and ethical life without religion.
Humanists make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values.
Humanists see no convincing evidence for gods, the supernatural, or life after death.
Humanists believe that moral values are properly founded on human empathy and scientific understanding.
Humanists believe we must live this life on the basis that it is the only life we'll have -- that, therefore, we must make the most of it for ourselves, each other, and our world.
Humanist philosophies have arisen separately in many different cultures over many thousands of years. Whether or not they use the term humanism, tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people around the world agree with the humanist philosophy of living a happy and productive life based on reason and compassion.

FAITH. I believe everyone wonders about this. You are not the first. At times we believe there is no God, but, just for a short time usually. If you believe in God keep believing. I believe I see God through my children, the stars, the ground I walk on and miracles that happen every day. You have proof just open your eyes and heart and have FAITH. AMEN

It IS okay to not believe. You are allowed to come to your own conclusions as far as spirituality goes. Go with whatever you FEEL and don't let the beliefs of anyone else dictate your beliefs or you'll end up very confused.
