Cinnamon rolls, YUMMY!!! Read the recipe over again... Does it call for egg whites and egg yolks separately, or just the whole egg altogether. Separating eggs can mean a variety of things. If you separate them (like in baking) that either means to break them and place them in a dough or batter or it could mean to separate the yolk from the white and then use them separately.

I recommend to read the recipe once more, seeing if it requires the yolks in one thing and the whites in another, or just the eggs altogether.

Hope this helps, and don't 4get to do frosting... YUMMY!

Yes, there is a real reason. Some recipes call for egg whites or egg yolks only. Angel food cake, instance, needs the whites only, or it won't be as light as it should be. Other recipes need to have the yolks added first, then the beaten egg whites folded in later in the process. Again, it's matter of lightness that won't be achieved by adding the whole egg at one time.

Each part of the egg does something different for a recipe. For example the egg yolk is used in cutards to thicken it up, whereas the whites are usually used in angel food cakes to give the cake a light airy texture. Also some healthy recipes only use the whites because the yolks are full of cholesterol.

Some recipes call for just the whites. Some call for just the yolks. Some call for them to be added at different times. And if you think your eggs need to be separated from each other...well that is just silly!

Just do what the recipe says and you'll be fine.

Sometimes recipes call for that because the egg whites make things a little lighter/fluffier than having both yolks and whites. If the recipe calls for it and you want it to turn out right then separate them.

the recipe asks you to separate the eggs because you might need the yolk for one thing and the other part for something else

Ha,ha,ha,ha. humorous. while you're attempting to prepare dinner? gently faucet 2 eggs including barely sufficient stress to crack the egg shell. place eggs so crack would be @ midsection of egg. in ordinary terms between the egg shells will crack, heavily open the shell by using pulling aside @ the midsection. If accomplished wisely, you may 2 halves. Tip the 0.5 containing the yolk (yellow area) emptying right into a bowl. Then place something of egg (sparkling, thick area) in a separate bowl. If making plans to beat into egg whites, be confident none of yolk is in combination, if so won't whip into egg whites.

You have to seperate the eggs if a recipe tells you to. It is very important to that particular recipe. Do you know how to seperate an egg? You probably aren't very good at it since you are trying to get around it.. If that's true, sorry buddy you have no choice, but it does get easier with practice.

if the recipe says separate you really need to do it or it won't turn out right.
