Many people say you can't have good without evil, and most just stop right there, pick a side, and live their lives, but...

Are good and evil equal 50-50? Or is the ratio different in reality, thus disregarding and ruling out religion?

If this ratio stands, then that means that evil is just as legitimate, great, and equal as GOOD. That God and the Devil are equals. right?

So then, is being(existing) a mass murderer as legitimate as a being as a holy man? If the Devil is responsible for humans to behave badly, is it God who equally has to "actively" keep us on the right track (one of their "functions" to explain their existance)?

So the the excuse "we're only human", is it true? Do we blame the devil? Should we be blamed for the devil making us do things? Can a Hitler, Osama bin Laden, or even Geoge Bush be held responsible for their actions because they're "only human"?

I'm an absurdist by the way, so I only categorize good and evil as "things" for the sake of explaining the question better.

Good and evil are not 50/50 when it comes to power. God is omnipotent. Evil/Satan/the devil is not.

Evil has a right to exist the same way that shadows have a right to be there on sunny days. Isn't it true that you can't have sun without having shadows somewhere?

Evil can never be as powerful as good because it's by definition truncated -- something that's missing instead of something that IS. Like a shadow or a hole.

The devil is not responsible for humans' bad behavior; spiritual laziness and apathy is. People are most human when they are choosing between good, the right way, and evil, the easy, lazy way. And they always have a choice between the two, unless they are legitimately mentally ill.

W/o reading the entire question the answer is yes. God said he created both good and evil. God gives us the choice to choose which path we will take. He also says to chose you this day who you will serve.
Having read a little further, no we do not have the right to blame the devil for our wrong doing. Why? You say because you have a choice if you know wrong from right what is acceptable to God and what is not. Didn't he tell Cain that evil was waiting for him at the door? We warned him that the devil was lurking but he gave in to the will of the Devil v.s. the Lord.
The Devil who actually is Satan in the beginning was God's right hand man. He used to be in heaven with the Lord. But satan got jealous and wanted folks to worship him not God. When you try to exhort yourself above the God, someone has got to go. So Satan came into a beat down and was thrown down here for us to deal with him. God said he must exist because his time has not yet come. But God also said resist the devil and he will flee from you. Satan creeps in via your mind...a mere thought....that thought if meditated on long enough turns into an action....
Good and evil is not 50%. Evil is more like 75% to 25%.

First of all it is not biblical to say that God and Satan are equals.
The truin God are equals. (Father, Son and Holy Ghost)
Satan and God ARE NOT equals.
God is the creator, Satan was created by God. God is far above the angels. Satan then became a fallen angel.

The bible records how Satan is not equal to God.
God can read your mind and your heart. Satan can not
God is omnipresent. He can be everywhere at the same time.
Satan can only be in one place at one time. He is NOT omnipresent.
God created all things and has all power. Satan was created and did not create anything. Satan became evil when he fell from holiness. If you are not holy, then you are evil. There is no inbetween.
Satan has limited power as God allowed him only power over the earth. This is why Satan is called the "god of this earth."
Only Satan and his fallen angels, and Michael the archangel and the angels of heaven are equals. They have equal power.
However, the bible records that Satan and all of his followers will be destroyed by Jesus Christ in the end times. So Satan's days are limited. He will be extinguished one day.
God has no beginning and no end.

Since God came first "Good" CAN exist WITHOUT evil.
Since evil came about by Satan falling from holiness and since God created Satan in the first place, then evil could not exist without good.

One day all evil will be destroyed and good will once again exist without evil.

Now, just so you know where man stands in all of this.
Remember I said that we will no longer be able to sin once in heaven. The bible tells us that after Christ comes again, the order will change from
God (Father, Son, Holy Ghost)
Archangel
Angels
Mankind
to
God, (Father, Son, Holy Ghost)
Saved mankind
Archangel
All other angels
This is how much God loves us.

It seems to me that God has simply allowed evil to exist. If I am correct, Lucifer’s job was to tempt us so as to make us stronger in doing what is good and right as we have to live with the consequences of our decisions. I do not even begin to believe that Satan and God are equals. How could they be if God created the angel that was Lucifer and became Satan? How could have God thrown Lucifer out of heaven if they were equals? I think that answers most of what you asked. There is no real excuse to do wrong, except that we didn’t know any better and made a mistake, in which case it is a learning experience, or we do what is wrong simply because we enjoy doing so. I believe in reincarnation, so I think those who do wrong will eventually have to learn how what they did to others felt. As well as whatever consequences they have to face while here on earth. Yes we are only human, but we always have the option to do what is right.
Blessed Be

In you twisted little way you are touching on one of the classic dilemmas. If God is omnipotent and all things happen according to God's will as part of God's plan, then why does evil exist? If everything happens according to God's plan, then even sinners are acting according to God's will. So how can they be blamed for doing what God wanted them to do? This is what has always ticked me off about the phrase "it was just God's will." Whenever something awful happens people think it is a comfort to tell me it was God's will. No, it was God's will it was the low-life SOB who did it's will. The paradox of Evil has always lead to two possible answers. Either God is not a very nice guy, which I don't want to believe, or God is not omnipotent. There is no divine plan, because a benevolent God would never plan anything this awful. We have free will to create the world we choose. Evil exists because humans choose to be evil and they alone are responsible for their choices. And nothing about the atrocities wrought by the hands of man is the will of God. Quit laying blame on God for the acts of man. It is not comforting.

I don't believe in the Devil. I don't believe that Lucefer was a fallen angel. I believe he was chosen by God as the door keeper to the God. I do not believe that anyone or anything can make anyone do something. It is called free will. People choose to do whatever they choose to do whether it is right or wrong. I think that darkness prevails on this earth. The negativity here is far more accessible than the lightness of the other side.
I believe in white, grey, and dark entities. My ratio is about 30% of people are white and about 30% are dark and the other 40% are grey. I believe if you are a white entity you will go right to God. If you are a dark entity you will never see the light of God...you will recycle to Earth until there is nowhere left for your soul to go. Then I believe that God absorbs the dark souls into the God Head...because He is all forgiving and all Powerful and All Merciful and All Loving. As for the grey entities...they can go either way, if they decide to believe in God they will go to the white light of God. If not they will turn dark and once dark they will go where the dark go. If they accept God and believe in Him then they will be white and they will go to the Light of God with the white entities.
I cannot blame God for what people do so I wouldn't blame the Devil if I believed it existed.

GOD PERMITS (D)EVIL
===================

Take the case of JOB, God prompts and permits the devil to attack Job! Why? It is not that God does not know the self -righteousness of Job. Externally JOB is righteous, caring for poor, widows and orphans. But his heart is not of a humble person.

So God allows devil to attack him, to expose the attitude of Job! If such a proving is not there how God's judgment will be justified and made explicit.

While some evil befall you, be assured God is proving you. Stand up to the challenge and be victorius!

Amos 3:6 shall evil befall a city, and Jehovah hath not done it?

Dear non believers,

Judge not Christianity by what Christians do, be it the "born again" in White House, or the criminal in the jail. Dont make them and their deeds as yardsticks,

Sorry, I had to stop you at "if this ratio stands, then that means that evil is just as legitimate".

So, an elephant who weighs a few tons and a few tons of gold of equal weight mean the elephant and the gold is the same? Obviously not.

Since your second rationalization was false, the rest of what you are saying is not of importance. Fix that one problem of "equality" and you just might find the answer to your question :)

Devils?
A struggle between good and evil?
Humans can be held responsible for their actions by humans. That is the only justice that the transgressors will see.

The facts are, evil, devil, satan, god, santa claus and heaven are mystisms, they all made up for the believers to support the churches, those words get them scared and influence people to go to church every sunday just to read the bible and believe in it.. They would not belive in mystism if they know the facts of life which is science.
