I'm Wiccan but really I'm still learning about it. I don't know many Wiccans only my bff Keri who is also still learning about it. So I guess you can say we're scholars. Um... we need some someone to help us though cause we don't know where we should start. Does anybody know any good web site we can go to to learn more about our new faith?

Honestly, I find you BF's mother's comment insulting. A "good Wiccan" is someone who believes as Wiccans do. Since you don't even know about Wicca, that's clearly not the case. You can't look at someone and judge the religion they should be in! That's awful! There's also more than a hint of proslytising going on in that statement, which Wiccans generally reject. The simplest answer here is...do you believe as a Mormon? Are you happy as a Mormon? Does it spiritually fulfill you? Then you shouldn't even be considering converting. We are talking another religion here. Among other things, we're polytheists. If you're interested in learning about Wicca from an academic perspective (such as to better understand your BF), you can get an overview on Wikipedia and then start looking in the library for books. You can also borrow books from your BF. Be wary of information on Wicca online - there's a lot of silly stuff out there on the Web.

I truly enjoyed To Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver RavenWolf. I believe meditation is important. I'm a natural born psychic, and the way I get to be better at it is through meditation. It clears one's thinking and brings peace. If you want to know what I use I will write it following this. It is a re-run so if you don't want to read it, just skip it starting right here. Simple meditation. This is a basic form of what I do. It's a mix of different types. It’s a powerful tool. First choose your mantra. This is a word of power, love, and life. I chose, "God", as I intend to be infused with, and maintain His spirit until next time. You can use any word, or short sentence meaningful to you. Another example of a good mantra is the word Love. I can't imagine using another mantra now, so take time with this. When you have it, get comfy. Use whatever position you fancy. Then deliberately go through every, single, tiny muscle in your entire body, (even the tiniest ones in your face), relaxing and filling each one with a protective, loving, healing white light from God. Do this while repeating your mantra silently. When you are completely relaxed and full of light, including your insides. Your body will be like it’s asleep, while your mind is wide awake. This can open you to spiritual contact. This is what makes the next action very important. Surround yourself with protective white light. I like to make all my white light sparkle & shimmer. Try not to think of anything except your mantra, and the sparkling white light. After this there are some variations you can try. Later. Sounds simple, but it’s not, it takes a great deal of commitment, determination, and concentration. Do this at the same time everyday.
I hope this helps some,
Blessed Be

There are a bunch of Wiccans on here, including myself, and a bunch of other pagans or various beliefs. There are a pretty good number of various pagan beliefs on this forum. Feel free to ask Wicca related questions, or email me directly through my profile about them if you prefer.

The Lord protect us from those who trespass against Humanity and all of the creations of THE LORD, Allah SWT
Salam Alaikum Wu Rhamat Allah Wu Barakathou
Peace unto you and mercy and blessings from Allah SWT(Most High, Most Gracious)
The Lord unto thee has granted Jesus A.s. or Isa A.s. eternal paradise long before he was created.

InshAllah he is smiling and enjoying the love of the people he left with his faith that was granted by the Allah SWT or the Lord as he has many names but he prefers to be called Allah SWT

Wicca is just another name for witchcraft - which uses magic in one form or another to control nature &/or human behaviour. Any power in it is Invariably demonic.

There are many here, of different backgrounds and lengths of time in Wicca.

Some are poseurs, some are scholars.

Which are you?
