First answer is a good one. It could also be tendonitis at the spot where the heel bone connects to the tendon. Ice it but see a podiatrist or sports medicine doctor to find out how to prevent it. DO NOT PUT THIS OFF.

It might be a heel spur which can be a symptom of plantar fasciitis. To ease the pain, try submerging your heel in an ice bucket for 10 minutes several times a day. When running, wear suitable running shoes and stay on soft surfaces. Sometimes a heel cup, heel lift, or arch insert makes running more comfortable. Here is an article about heel spurs and PF and hopefully some tips to help you out: http://www.runningtimes.com/rt/articles/?id=5776&page=1

You have Severs disease or Osteochonritis dissecans. It is an inflammation of the Growth Plate in your heels
