No, there's nothing special about it, it's just a symbol to remind you of the pledge you made. It's like the Holden or Ford logo? Is there anything special about them? Nope, it just is a reminder of who made the car.
If you'd like to make it special, then get it engraved with a verse or "purity" or something.

Dumb people don't often ask questions...intelligence is gauged by your ability to learn and retain knowledge...not how much you already have. We can't know everything. As a matter of fact...I'm pretty smart and I have no idea of any such thing as a purity ring. Sounds like a lovely idea...wish it were around when I was a younger girl. Love in Christ, ~J~

i'm specific any ring you're making a dedication with and to must be your purity ring. yet risk is the Church'll make you pay for a whole diverse ring to get extra money out of brainwashed little ones.

Well it's useally a ring a father give to the daughter, or the mother or something..
but i think a purity ring can be any ring you want, as long as you make the promise.

Its not so much the type of ring, its what it represents. I have a purity ring, and it doesnt matter what it looks like, it just matters that you stay pure in your ways as a young lady.

I don't think what kind of ring matters. It's just a symbol. You could have a purity pendent if you would prefer.

The people who promote such nonsense, that's all. Nothing wrong with being chaste. But it should be due to an inner conviction or choice, not because someone warns you to stay "pure"; i.e. "clean." I thought that word went out of style in the late 1960's.Apparently not. .

I believe it represents what you believe, and serves as a reminder to you and others about this. I don't know if it is a special kind or not.
