“Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.”
~~Charlie Brown, fictional character from the comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz, Peanuts

Don't you just adore Charlie Brown. How true! When I'm having a down moment, especially those concerning love, nothing tastes right. And, of course, for Charlie Brown one of his favorite foods -- peanut butter -- loses its attraction. Today's writers would probably say "s**t." However, we're lucky that Charlie's mood is expressed with the care shown by the creator Charles Schulz.

If your love is not returned then even the sweetest thinks lose their flavor.

in other words it is hard to find pleasure in anything if the person you love does not love you back...

Man do i know that feeling.

It just means that everything in life seems flat and tasteless and unexciting when the person you love doesn't feel the same way about you.
