I regularly cook cakes in the microwave. You have to reduce the amount of liquid because it cooks so quickly. The texture is a bit different - less crumbly - but I don't find it objectionable. There are recipes avail on the net for microwave cakes and muffins. I've never tried angel food cake in the microwave, only because I don't particularly care for angel food cake. A quick web search didn't turn up a microwave recipe for angel food cake. Maybe I'll make this a winter experiment - we're busy canning (That's why I piddlin' around Y!A. I'm waiting for the canning cycle to complete) and I'm still getting a bit of fishin' done.

You can pretty much make anything in the microwave thanks to modern technology. I however only use my microwave for reheating leftovers, and the kitchen timer.

But I bet you could find a recipe somewhere. I don't think an angel food cake would come out tender or soft or fluffy or anything but a rubbery mess.

Good luck anyhow.

Nope. There is no way I can even conceive to make it possible for it to turn out correctly.
