Most certainly. Some people have a lot on there plate and tend to loose is it. Remember what you said, " it was her OPINION" not fact. However the most important thing is are you all right. I hope so. Love yourself regardless of what someone else thinks most people aren't thinking anything worth while most of the time anyway. smile

All the time. They are human beings capable (well most are) of independent thought. However, they are also trying to make a living to pay the bills, so of course they will lie when making an apology.

Sure, sometimes people are a**holes, and, you know it, and the boss knows it, but, you go along to get along.
I've been known to do a nonapology a time or three myself, those of you in retail or customer service will know what I am talking about.
"I'm sorry that you feel I offended you. That wasn't my intention at all, and I hope we can deal cordially in the future."

I'm certain that it happens probably many times. I hope that you are a Christian. And if you are, God tells us in his Word that we must forgive others, if we expect Him to forgive us when we do wrong. The best thing that you can do is to pray for the nurse, that God will bring her to conviction of her sins, and that she will humble herself before Him, and ask for his forgiveness. But do not hold a grudge against her, for this will only make your own life miserable. However, when we know that people act such a way, the best thing that we can do is to just stay from them as much as possible. God will see to it that she pays for her wrong doing.

One of the dangers of sitting in front of a computer screen for so many hours of the day is that it stunts a persons abilities to handle real human interactions. This is mostly a problem for younger people who have grown up with computers.

Yes, I do. If she didn't mean to offend you she wouldn't have said what she did in the first place.
She didn't mean it, she just said it to keep the job.
