i want to charge people to download things from my web site and i was wondering if they use credit card how do i get the money? does the credit card company send you a check? plz help!

I believe you have to sign a contract with a company that processes credit cards for merchants. The contracts tend to be several years and include monthly fees. There may also be some percentage of the revenue too.

Depending on how much traffic you expect, Paypal might be a better alternative.
