A Christian, who spent all that time in church and wound up in the lake of fire anyway?

Or an atheist, who didn't think the place even existed?

The Christian - the atheist will be far too excited to meet all the fun people down there - Dawkins, Einstein, Hitchens, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Aldous Huxley, Ernest Hemingway, Charles Darwin.

And FINALLY we won't have to put up with pious fundamentalists, since they will be in their own heaven, looking for things to talk about.

I'd say Christians, they'd be wondering why God abandoned them and be all sad and emo...while the Atheists are partying with all the fun people, why hang out with a bunch of little kids with wings attached to them (the traditional depiction of angels, if you didn't know) and a bunch of goody-too-shoes saints, also the Fundies and all other Christians, when you could be practicing Bushido with the Samurai's? Or fighting with the Vikings and Spartans? Or talking philosophy with Socrates and Confucius? It seems that no matter what you want, you can have something goin' for ya in Hell...without the Christan's breathing down your neck! ^_^ WOOT!

Neither will be embarrassed because, once they close their eyes for the final time, they will no longer exist in any form. Therefore, the question is moot. However, if there were to be such a situation, then the atheist could rag on the Christian for all of eternity...

Well, if they really were a Christian, then the Christian, if they weren't' and they knew it, then the atheist. Like saying, haha my house doesn't exist, then running into the front door.

well, heres the thing, with the 'burning in pain' thing, an RPG hit my cousins armored Humvee where it hit his friend he suffered serious 3rd degree burns, he didn't feel the pain, because it damaged his nerve endings, i'd asume that after being in a lake of lava the same thing would happen so i don't think the rest of the burning would matter to much

anyway thats besides the point

i wont be embrassed, god should have left more evidence

I think they would be surprised. The Christian would probably be wondering why they are they, while the atheist would understand why. The atheist would probably accept it easier, just go with the flow.

-Atheist.

I would say the atheist since he has to listen to the christian say "I told you so" for all eternity. Christians believe they are going to hell anyway so it would just serve them right to actually go to hell... for once.

I'm an Atheist and for some reason Hell does exist and I went there I wouldn't be embarrassed or feel bad that I didn't believe in God, my brain actually works and has not been brainwashed like over half of Americas kids.

Well, by definition, a Christian belives in Jesus, and worships God, so it's doubtful he will end up there. But only God knows for sure, because He is the only One in a place to judge us.
