Yes, there are college scholarships out there for those who waited to attend college, but the amount out there is not the same amount as high school seniors can receive. I will include some free resources to locate college tuition money along with some excellent resources.

First, complete the FAFSA form in either January or early February because it will qualify you for the Pell Grant, federal work study program, state grants, need based scholarships from the government, and student loans. It is based on a percentage of your savings and income along with your family's income and savings (if under 24 or married). This is to be completed for each year of college for the upcoming fall semester or quarter until college graduation.

Second, the local library has a book listing college scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. Most offer a customized search based on information that you enter into a form on its website. I recommend applying for every scholarship that you qualify for consideration.

Good luck!

Yes you are eligible for some scholarships. You will have to check and see but most colleges have scholarships for non-traditional students, such as those who do not go directly to college. Do take your ACT and SAT now though. Many colleges will let you apply now and then ask for a one year deferment so you could take a year to work or travel or whatever.
