Easier to pour out for usage.

Sometimes Epsom salts are packaged in plastic bags, but that isn't very popular.

Additional: I don't know what onedrin below is talking about, The reason I stated is the correct one. I used to work in retail and spoke with the sales representatives concerning many of the products. They explained the reasons for the packaging of many items. Since Epsom salts are used by people in bulk and because the salts are of a large size, then they are package so that they can pour from a large hole, and from a container which will keep them from absorbing moisture. The carton they are in does both of these things.

We had bottles and the silver foil very just about continuously had chook poop on it. the instructor would insist on poking a hollow with the aid of the foil with the straw too ! Don`t bear in mind having any juice although and the cartons got here in, in my final junior 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. WOW, I`m greatly surprised I bear in mind that, I left college sooooo some time past.

It's easier to pour that way...that's my logic. Usually epsom salt is used to soak your feet.

Malted milk balls come in that sort of carton too. Now does it make sense?
