If it's been properly wrapped, I've had uncooked ground beef in my freezer easily for 6 months. If already cooked, my freezer holds it for up to a year (if I forget I have it in there). I've never had a problem because I make sure all my meats are well wrapped before putting them in the freezer. That helps eliminate freezer burn.

You need to check the star rating on your freezer - that will tell you exactly.

I would keep mine no longer than 6 months though.
