Why don't people realize that bringing all the troops home , is not the same as cutting their funding?

They can't think for themselves. Its easier to let someone else tell them what is happening.

Well let's see. Cut the funding, no new supplies, weapons, troops, yah we can win a war that way. It is the step needed to end the war and bring any body's troops home.

True, but since Congress doesn't have the constitutional power to redirect troop deployments, they work with what they do have- the budget.
