Do I believe we can have it if we really try? Yes.
Do I believe we already have it, or that it will be easy to establish, esp. after the mess that this current un-elected president has made of America? No.
Do I believe that it is the only hope that we all will survive on this planet together? Oh, hell yes.
Do I believe that first I have to have peace in my own heart before I can work for peace among my brothers and sisters? *sigh* Yes.

I have had peace of mind. That's blissful. I've been in peaceful places. That's blissful too. Do I believe in world peace? Not until the entire world has access to the Internet. That means the poorest, Third World countries too. The Web is the string that connects every human being's paper cup to each others.'
Then, I believe the idea of world peace can be planted, like a seed, in the minds of many, and ... by the power of concept of "The 100th Monkey," peace will spread over time.

:Universal peace will never happen until Christ comes to set up His 1000 year reign on earth. He will demonstrate the world can live in peace while under His reign. This too will end at the end of the 1000 years as Christ releases Satan from being chained up.This will once again show how man will fall victim to the appeal of sinfulness.This time will be very short and will be followed by the Great White Throne Judgment. The non believers will stand before Christ and be judged for their works on earth.They will then be sent to the Lake of fire. They will be lost there for all eternity.

I belive that peace is inside all of us. It is easy to achieve and live by. Peace is tolerance. Peace is compassion. Love. Sympathy. Bravery. Peace will never be achieved through violence, but through empathy, understanding and acceptance. Live this way and you will be happier, healthier and find yourself content in life. If everyone could live this way, accepting each other, conflict would become a thing of the past.

No, because humans by nature cannot have peace. Thomas Paine states that what humans call peace is simply a rest between wars because they are tired of fighting for the time being.
