You can also get staph infection from having an open wound and coming into contact with the bacteria. My boyfriend has had it for about a year now. We went to the beach and he scrapped his back when he fell off the skim board on some small seashells in the water. The bacteria in the water got into it and caused a staph infection. He had to go to the hospital a couple of times because of it and it is very hard to get rid of.

A staph infection is one caused by the bacteria staph aureas. It is typically heard of when people don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom and spread their 'germs' through touching food, their mouths, door knobs, sinks....

Always make sure to wash your hands and you should be able to avoid this nasty little bacteria.
