My step dad chews, and we (the family) are all trying to get him to stop. I need some links to some sites about the risk and dangers about chewing. Also maybe some facts.

I don't think he understands the risk. I gave him a flyer and i was very mature about it and he still didn't even think twice about it and all he did was put it on the counter and say, "I'll get to that later."

what can i tell him to make him stop? He is a very stubborn man.

thanks.
=)

You know how to say that you dad is stubborn. It is very difficult to educate a stubborn man, they learn nothing. What they know they think are always correct and never accept others' advices. Chewing tobacco can cost mouth cancer. The gum and the tongue if affected need to be rid of in serious cases. Maybe one day if he sees a close friend of his having this problem, he might realise the seriousness.

There are lots of well documented risks. I've seen picture of healthy young people who had one half of their face cut off to stop the cancer.

He knows what can happen and he obviously doesn't love his family or himself enough to give up this destructive and nasty habit.

There really isn't much you can do except tell him that you love him and be sure to keep him insured because he will need it eventually.
