i want to go horseback riding in illinois(near chicago), does anyone know of a nice place?

Our local Sheriffs office has a group of horse riding deputies, sort of of a "posse". They are mostly connected to other horse and riding groups. Another very good source of information would be DJ's Tack shop in Morris, Illinois. You'll be able to get the TX from Directory assistance. The owner is familiar with all the "trails" and groups and he makes very nice saddles, and all things riding and leather.

Grundy County Sheriffs office is also listed and they might be able to give you some ideas. Morris is located about 55 miles from Chicago on Rt 80 at the 112 mile marker.
