I am not doing this just to enter into a mythical Heaven or to avoid a fearsome hell. In fact, I will neither go to Heaven or Hell. I was designed by my Father to live here on Earth, peacefully. Therefore, I don't have a hope of going to Heaven. On the other hand, Hell does not exist. After an extensive research, you will find out that Hell is a mistranslation of the words Sheol and Hades, from the Hebrew and Greek scriptures, respectively. The idea of Hell was created in the dark ages by the church to intimidate people into joining their faith. What drives me to live according to accurate knowledge of bible truth, is the Love I have for my Father, The Creator of Everything, and the appreciation I have for my Eldest brother, Jesus, Who gave His life for me.

We can't "earn" our way into heaven by works. To accept salvation, all you have to do is 1. admit you're a sinner, and 2. believe that Christ came to earth in man's form, died on the cross for the sins of man, and was resurrected on the third day. That's it, nothing else to it.
As for the being good part, Christians try to live a Christlike life in gratitude for the forgiveness we've been granted. We still sin, just like anyone else. The difference is that we know God has forgiven our sins and as long as we repent and truly mean it we will remain close to God. We can't lose our salvation by sinning but the separation we feel from God when we sin drives us to try harder and to call on God to help us resist when we're tempted. I hope this clears things up for you :) God bless.

Christians ends up in heaven by believeing in God and doing good. There is no way you can do good without believing in God. If you believe in God, then you know the right things to do to go to heaven. Am not saying you aren't doing something right but you might be doing something which you think is right but in the face of God, it's a sin/ wrong.

You just prove the point of why people shouldn't judge those of faiths that they don't understand. We could do the most good works in the world, and it won't save us in the end. The only way to the Father is through the Son. We are saved only by the sacrifice Jesus made for us when He died for our sins.
John 14:6 -- Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 3:16 -- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

First, I'd like to say if you don't believe in God (or any other god), then you should be more concerned about doing good for your own self.
As for Christians (and by that I mean TRUE Christians), we do good because it benefits others and we want them to go to Heaven. It's about our hearts. If were trying for brownie points with God, we're in trouble.
And even if that's the only reason they're doing good, you should be happy that they're not making excuses for doing evil. That's 10 times worse.

Faith without works is dead.
Even some Christians may on occassion actually have a good motive now and then for doing the right thing too, you know.
Atheists do not have the market cornered on nobility.

It is actually by following the actual teachings of Jesus how one gets salvation. Otherwise he wouldn't have said "Go and sin no more." and Be pure like you father in heaven." He never said he died on the cross for our sins. Man did. He said those who believe in me will attain the kingdom of God. Believing means following his teachings. Otherwise those who sin incessantly and believe and those who follow the path of righteousness and believe will get the same result, and that makes no sense. God makes sense. We have to question why so many denominations. Because the bible has been changed. For the original new Testament before Kings Constantine changed so many things in it google go ogle.com Following the original teachings of Jesus will set you free. Thank God I found it.

Actually I was good way before I became a Christian. I help with fundraisers, MS and MDA. I still those do those to this day. I have a question, why do you 'atheists' try to impose your thoughts on us? We have our beliefs and you have yours. It is not that hard people to live in peace. I respect your stance and you should do the same. I am not imposing my views and slandering atheists for their beliefs.

By believing that Jesus dies for our sins, and that he saved us. The "good works" is more like a show of appreciation, and Christian means Christ like, so, trying to do as Christ would do in the modern day.

Heaven is not a myth, and its not gained by anything WE do. It is given as a gift for believing in the performance of ANOTHER on our behalf.
