Jesus is the son of God. (capital G) the little g stands for the god of this world Satan. Christianity is about Christ Jesus and it is not a religion. Religions were around long before Jesus came on the scene. Man has a natural nature to worship but way, way back then man was suppose to worship God and even still today and forever, however; because of sin and all of these false gods that propped up man has classified them as religion. Today people try to throw Christianity into the mix and it is sad some Christians are still not on point. The Holy Bible is the true word of God given to man. You have to study the Bible (read it for yourself/start with the New Testament). Peace to you.

Yes of course: The people who lived before the time of Jesus still developed a concept of God. Same is true for Buddhists and other religions. There were the Gnostics too, who believe there is some empowering and motivating force behind the physical, which animates us and provides our soul. This is very close to what you describe as faith without the Bible. This invisible force, similar to what was call The Force in the Star Wars movies, is another term for the spirit of life, or the Holy Spirit. Those who do NOT believe in the force were called A (not) Gnostic, or agnostic.

God gives us the Bible so we can stay rooted in His truth- Once we stop seeking Him in study we forget what His word says--- and it is HIS word we live by! BUT many in other countries where bibles are banned have to memorize scripture- where missionaries go and share the gospel....So that is why as David says in the Psalm-- "I will hide your word in my heart so I might not sin against thee"
-Amen! We should always study the scriptures daily, so we too can remember God's word, and have it written on the tablet of our hearts in case someday they take our bibles away- ya never know it could happen, and this world is on its way OUT THE DOOR! Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes from hearing, and by hearing the word of God" -- Salvation comes through hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ is in the Bible. We who come on here and share the gospel, can share it off the top of our heads, but we like to give scripture reference- hoping others will open their bibles and see the truth of God that is written.
The Bible is very important! It is not something we who are saved should set aside while we have it! We should keep close to us and read it daily! God has much to teach us through His word- and it is what keeps us close to Him- so we do not stray from His truth or fall into sin.

Realizing they exist and are active, no,is not dependent on the Bible. Having an accurate knowledge of who they are and what they want from us and what they will do is dependent on the Bible.

Why not? If you believe, it shouldn't matter...your God will know what's in your heart.

You could, but the church wouldn't like that because they would lose your money.
