Having spent a little (very little) time with the Army and most of my adult life with the Marine Corps, I'd say if you REALLY want to be in the military -- crisply ironed uniforms when in the rear, sharp creases, proud military bearing and history, down in the dirt and sleeping under the stars, getting the job done when your out in the field... go Marine Corps.
If instead, you're more into Boy Scouts style camping -- tents, fresh, hot running water, long hair, summer creases, and home most weekends... go Army. Patton would be rolling over in his grave and Chesty would be so proud.

The United States Marine Corps. No question.

Each branch serves a purpose; however the USMC is truly paramount across the services.

Our military needs to be precise, highly trained, dedicated and organized.. NO OTHER BRANCH can claim all of these attributes through and through. Yes, formations have a straight away line, yet the Marine formations WILL ALWAYS be tighter. Look at their drill team. Look at how they walk? Look at how they support one another longer after their time in the Corps. Once a Marine Always A Marine.. this is a brotherhood, lifelong dedication and a way of life...

If you look at history.. it is the Marines that are sent first.. they are far from expendable.. they are the ones entrusted by all other branches to assess the situation.. clear the path and strike the enemy with such force. The male United States Marine is the most chivalrous, polite and credible man on this great nation.

I value each and every member of our Armed Forces; however as many of you probably know I will ALWAYS have an extra affection for Marines.

Make no mistake the chiseled jaw, handsome ruggedness and clean shaven, high &tight groomed Marine has a heart of gold.. but an intense dedication to protect America... Let us all be thankful for the United State Marine..

Female Marines.. thank you for your service as well, while I do not support women being in the military.. since we have to have them, then I support you.. but be honest.. combat does not need confusion..

Semper Fidelis

I wish you well!

The Marines have done so much with so little for so long, that qualifies us to do anything with nothing.

You can take away the Marines M-16's and give them M-1 Garands and 1903 springfields, and we will still kick any ones ***

Prefer for what?

I prefer the US Army for large scale military operations designed around "firepower" warfare.

I prefer the US Marines for rapid responses, major assaults, or any type of military operation that is suited to manuver warfare.

In terms of kicking *** marines. Semper fi. In terms of a military career with little combat, the army. Although nowadays that isn't so true anymore.

...that's a very open ended question.

I prefer... the Marines' dress uniforms.

I prefer having both branches doing their jobs.
