With the tools and knowledge we have today why do we still have diseases we can not cure?
There is no disease we cannot investigate and see how it works yet we must be realy stupid not to be able to find ways around it.
If anybody states money as the reason
Then how is it that we say our species is intelliigent when it is downright stupid by allowing itself to be trapped in such a silly excuse.

Every day thousands of people kill thousands of other people, usually to move pieces of paper from one location to another.
Millions of people sign up and train for the job of killing other people.
Millions of people die of starvation, malnutrition and other manifestations of deficiency of pieces of paper while a few thousands who control most of the pieces of paper try to find ways to waste the resources that could feed those millions.
Although we know that our numbers are growing faster than the natural resources, we don't stop having more and more children.
Sure people are stupid but not the guys trying to cure cancer or HIV.

in my 64 short years on this earth, Im truly awed by the
field of medicine (research and application) not just
the new drugs for prevention and cure, but the many
different procedures. The knowledge and physical abilities
of our health providers is unfathomable. Thing is, man
is no match for the ills of this world, but these folks are
truly putting up a worthy battle.

because there are billions of things that could be cures but it takes time to find the correct combinations. some of the medications we have now were developed for different disorders but found to work on something else better during testing. there is also major influence from drug manufactures not wanting cures to be found because it would make some drugs they make useless. and, yes, that makes money an influence.

ok well obviously you have never studied medicine
first of all viruses are always changing, so by the time we have one figured out and have cures/inoculations for it, there is a new strain.
second of all just because we can investigate diseases doesnt mean that we can figure out what causes them and how to cure them.
dont you think that we WANT to find cures and how to prevent horrible illnesses like cancer and HIV/AIDS??!!!??
you must be really stupid to ask this question
doctors and scientist are extremely smart and work extremely hard to save people like you who are obviously ungrateful for the hard work that they do.

I disagree, we are certainly not stupid. We have the ability to be intelligent and learn things( If only by our mistakes) As to whether or not we use our intelligence for a good purpose, is another issue.I think the majority of us keep trying, but nature has always had a head-start on us and will I think always be one step ahead, evolving constantly. We must try to keep up with her.

HAHA!

I think that there are some things that we just can't cure...or some people aren't willing to cure. Humans need diseases to keep the population in check.

It's common sense that I wish that could be administered as a medicine.
