I would not recommend that if your school has a no pets policy, which most of them do. Are you willing to risk being disciplined or kicked out over a kitten? Wait till you graduate and then get all the kittens you want. Just because your roommate likes kittens does not mean everyone else on your floor of the dorm will. There is also the small matter of the litter box and how you would clean it......get a stuffed kitten and be happy.

You say you love kittens, but what about a big ol' cat? Because that's what it will be for maybe another 15 years or more. You are in college, do you know a cat will fit in your lifestyle for the next 15 years. Do you even have any idea where you will be in 3 years? A kitten is not something you get for a 9 month school year and then dump. That would be cruel to the cat , nothing you should do to something you truly love.
Another point to add to the fact that dorm rooms are much too small for a cat to have a decent life in, is small dorm rooms mean there are a lot of people living in close quarters, so the likelihood is very high that someone that is allergic to cats will live close enough to you to be affected by it. Rooms that close together share heat vents and just share air in general.
If you really love kittens, you would hope every kitten can have the best life possible. Being crammed and hidden in a dorm room would be a very sad life indeed.

You should NOT do this, for the sake of the animal. Raising a kitten is very difficult in a normal household setting ( I have raised several). They need constant attention and interaction, and they can be very vocal animals. I guarantee that after two weeks of hiding the kitten you will either be found out and/or end up giving the kitten away. It's scenerios like these that cause the millions of pets in animal shelters to be euthanized for lack of space. Sneaking a kitten into your dorm room is irresponsible. Think of the animal's welfare, please.
Get a fish.

Believe me I was very tempted to try this when I was living in a dorm! Then I realized that if I got caught with the cat, I would have to get rid of it or move out of the dorm (not an option). Instead I got a pet mouse! He was much easier to care for in a dorm then a cat would have been, and I could hide his cage in the closet if an RA came around for some reason. I named him Taboo because it was taboo to have a mouse in a dorm. ^_^ You could also consider hamsters, gerbils, fish (most of the time fish are actually allowed in dorms), lizards, or frogs. Once you move out of the dorms into a pet-friendly apartment you can get your kitten!

Please don't. The kitten will be miserable. How about you and your roomie go give love to kittens at the shelters when you're jonsin' for kitten therapy? It's good for their socialization, and most rescues and shelters are happy to have people give the animals attention (just wash or sanitize your hands between animals). Wait until you get a place of your own. Kittens grow up quickly... and need a lot of room to run around. Okay?

dont even try it 1) you could be kicked out of college 2) the kitten could run out the door and get lost or die 3) the kitten could start chewing on wires and get shocked 4) the kitten could get stuck under the bed or something and not be able to get out just wait a little while until you graduate then you can get one

What about the kitten? What happens if it is discovered?
What about parties in your room? When you travel? Leave? That is just not a great enviorment for a kitten and besides, it's a life long commitment and I doubt you are ready to be tied down

I would most definately not! The cat can be confiscated or evicted when you're not there, depending on the school. Unless you get special permission, don't figure that you'll be able to have one without trouble.
So MANY cats are dumped or evicted at universities that it's not funny. Most are hit by cars because they don't know about roads.

It won't have a very good life cooped up in your dorm room because you don't want to get busted for breaking the rules.
