Try www.kraftfoods.com, they have a section called cooking school. Plus, tons of recipies that are easy to make. It really helped me learn to cook meals for my family.

About.com has a comprehensive guide (http://homecooking.about.com/od/foodreference/How_to_Cook.htm) it is really helpful also you could check with local adult education resources for cooking classes (colleges, churches and community centers are a good start). Finally there is the Food Network another good way to find out about lots of foods right from the comfort of your own home.

For easy starting meals try Salads, soups,Pasta and grilling they tend to be the quickest and the easiest to learn. Good Luck!

I suggest the New Betty Crocker Cookbook, Better Homes and Garden Cookbook...

go to the bookstore (or library) and look for cookbooks with pictures and shows step by step instructions.

Look at the recipes and see if they interest you... you don't want to buy a book with recipes that don't appeal to you.

This will give you guidance and confidence that you're doing the steps fairly accurately.

Also, you don't have to be 100% accurate with most recipes so don't sweat the small details, especially if things don't look exactly like the picture.

Check out You Tube. Type in Cooking vidoes. There are tons of cooking videos. If you want to narrow it down type in the type of food you want to learn how to cook.
