Used car oil does not heal ringworm. And it won't kill fleas or ear mites, either. This is an old remedy from a century ago, and it didn't work then, either, but there were no medicines at that time that worked any better.

Veterinarians have effective medication for ringworm and the other ailments I mentioned. They actually work, and they won't harm the pet. If a cat or dog licks motor oil off itself, which it certainly will, it can be fatal.

The black stuff in your kitten's nose is prob ably a tiny bit of dried blood. Kittens bump their noses during their play and exploration of the world. Just remove it gently with a tissue or your fingernail. If it recurs, or if you see bright red blood, it would be a good idea for a vet to have a look.

Why are you using car oil to heal a fungal infection? Where did you get that one?

Ringworm is a fungal infection. So is athlete's foot. When you get athlete's foot, do you bathe your feet in car oil? No. You go and buy a tube of Desenex cream, and you put it on your feet twice a day, morning and evening.

The black stuff on your kitten's nose is CAR OIL. She is licking it off. In sufficient quantity, it will kill her. You are poisoning her with oil. My God, man, you are a walking Exxon-Valdez!.

Go and get that little creature who has staked her life on your skill and intelligence, and give her a bath in lukewarm water, with baby shampoo. Wash all that poison off her, then rinse her and bring her into a towel and dry her as much as possible. Then keep her warm until she is no longer damp. Then rub a little dab of Desenex cream into each lesion. Rub it in well, because she is going to do with the Desenex what she did with the oil, so you are going to have to rub it into each lesion well. But gently.

Keep her quarantined from other animals. Don't get her near your face. Don't put her bedding in with the general laundry. Just wash it in the sink with detergent and chlorine bleach. Clean your hands with hand sanitizer really well after handling her. the ringworm will be gone in under a week.

And if you have a vet, you should give him a call and tell him you have a kitten who accidentally ingested some automobile oil, and find out if there is anything that you can feed her to help her neutralize that junk or move it through her system.

Motor oil won't get rid of ringworm and will only make your cat sick if he licks it off.

Use Miconazole, the vet has the cream in a 2% solution or you can get a generic form of Miconazole which is 4% at Walgreens for about $8. The non-generic form is Monistat 3, you can check the ingredients, they all have the correct chemical in them. It takes about a month for the fur to start growing in thick, but it does work, I've used it on one of our cats last year.

Can't say I've ever heard of using car oil for ringworm!

Your vet could give you an ointment to put on the spot. Make sure you keep it isolated from your other cats, as it's contagious!

The car oil will only damage the kittens skin. Get a real product to fix it.

Use iodine instead. Maybe it is car oil in your kitten's nose?
