Of course tell him. He warned her and she did it again. So what if he gets kinda loud. Her running into the street is pretty serious. She needs to get it in her head that she isn't allowed to be on the street. By letting her dad know and receive her punishment. Hopefully she'll get the idea.

there are 2 issues I see here. First, the girl is already school age, but she is still running into the street, she needs some solid discipline, not THREATS of discipline. I see so many parents who tell their kids they are going to be punished but don't ever actually do anything, and the kids just ignore them.
the 2nd issue is tougher - your BF. You are afraid he will harm her, or scold her too badly because he is angry. I learned at my own father's knee not to punish or discipline my kids while I was mad. It isn't necessary to get angry at the kid to give them discipline. It's natural to get angry, but too easy to cause harm then, so if you can, help him stay calm before he talks to her.
You know she needs to be disciplined, and that he wants to take care of it, so tell him "She ran into the street again, and I want you to do the right thing so she won't do it anymore." That will feel to him like you are supporting him, and if you are there with him when you confront her, it will help him to be serious and calm and quiet about it. Don't get into a screaming match, but ask for a mild punishment, not a hard "whoopin".
A few spanks never did me any harm, five or six swats on the tushie, but a beating that leaves bruises or marks would be very very very bad, and make the girl afraid of him.
You know him - I don't, so judge for yourself which he is more likely to do, and if it's the wrong one, you should give her the punishment yourself.
I caught my 4 year old bringing in pine cones and stuffing them under the couch. I told her not to, but later I discovered she was still doing it, and had to make her sit in the stairs for half an hour, and then take out all the pine cones she had brought in. I didn't raise my voice, or get angry, but I was firm. For some kids, that's all they need, others are more of a handful and need more.

Getting a spanking doesn't hurt as much as getting hit by a car. A 7 year old should have been taught a long time ago not to run in the street. Why can't you decipline you're child? Fathers aren't the only ones who say no. This question doesn't belong in toddler & preschooler. Maybe that's the problem, you treat your daughter like she's younger.

You should pay more attention to her then be on the computer asking this question. And make sure that she doesn't end up getting hit by a car driving by. That would be the most horrible thing that can happen, and no parent should go through seeing their child get hurt like that!

I don't support whipping a child everyday but somethings have to be handled before she gets hurt !! if a whippin' is the way to get it through to her then yes, by all means whip her bottom I can't believe she is 7 and will not listen to your talk instead my son is 4 and I have just allowed him the privilege of getting near the road( to check the mail, while I watch) he has never gone in the road without me with him... I've told him .he's short cars don't see him he could get hurt or killed... that's serious there is no replacing them when they are gone

Obviously this child's parents aren't intelligent enough to parent effectively without hitting or screaming at the child. I suggest the both of you take parenting classes because APES hit their offspring, humans are supposed to be more intelligent than apes. If you think hitting is going to instill respect for you in your child you're wrong. All it is going to instill is fear and as the child gets older and realizes the lack of intelligence within her parents she is going to have no respect for them.

You should spank your child since shes doing something that could have KILLED her. This is so dangerous for her to be doing and she needs to know that.
