It would have to be somewhere in the hundreds! I have a locksmith on speed dial!
When you have a used car lot, keys get misplaced all the time! Employees put them down and forget where they left them. Key tags fall off. Things happen!
It is just a part of the business!

I am now over age 60 & I have needed keys since I was approx age 10 ... I am guessing I have lost keys at about the rate of 2-3 every 10 years. ... maybe a dozen.
There is something more embarrassing than losing keys ... it is having a safety system that blows up with lots of witnesses.
Because of some past problems, I had one set of keys in my jacket pocket, another set of keys in my coat pocket, and a few spares in a coin purse in my shirt pocket.
We were loading the car after a trip, it was hot & sweaty ... my jacket and coat were both inside the car, we were packing the trunk, and my coin purse fell out.
I was talked into visiting a nearby restaurant for a cold drink before we hit the road ... the car got locked up while we were in there ... my jacket & coat were inside the car, my coin purse in the trunk, all locked up, all 3 sets of keys in there.
Fortunately my car was one of those that can be opened with a coat hanger.

I'm sure I lost plenty of keys to bicycle locks when I was a kid (before I got old enough to get combination locks). More recently, I lost the key to my mailbox. I live in an apartment complex and all the mailboxes are at a central kiosk.

Actually the bigger problem is the drawer full of keys that I don't have a clue what they are for. But they never get thrown out, just in case...
