I lived in Denver a few years ago. At that time The Traildust was the most famous, but I'm not sure about the quality relative to the others mentioned.

I live just above Denver and the best in the area is the Texas Road House. You can hand pick your own steak if you wish, and I am picky! and mine has ALWAS been delicious, and the music and decor and food is "pure country"! It is really great in my book and won't break your bank acct!!

my money is on the Buckhorn. It's not a chain, uniquely Denver and the steaks are excellent.

Brooks steakhouse in the DTC. Its not a chain, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is upscale and private.
