Learning how to spell Catholic first might be a good place to start.

The first thing for you to have in mind is why do you wanna change your believes... I'm catholic, but I disagree a lot with this religion... It's not good to talk about pros or cons in religions because is a matter of believes, you have to find the one that suits you better, the one that answers your questions...

If this doesn't happen, just keep looking and make sure to be learning the things you believe are important, no matter the religion they're coming from...

if you are still thinking about staying atheist then do you really believe? catholicism is meant for those that are there to stay. there are only pros no cons to it. it is a special religion given to us by Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. you must believe and have faith in a lot of things that may be hard to understand but you must have faith. and in reality Catholicism is really a very logical religion. man is a religious being and he is meant to believe. find a good priest that will help you through it all and you might want to read these books The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, the Cathecism of the Catholic Faith and the Robe by Llyod Douglas. I hope everything goes well because you really should become catholic. i will pray for you.

All I know is, that every person's soul eventually ends up taking that person where it belongs. Some souls belong in Judaism, some in Christianity, some in Islam, some in Hinduism, some in,,,,well u get the idea.

Sometimes people don't know for a long time where their soul belongs. So if you feel drawn to a certain place, I think it's a good idea to go check it out and see if it is where your soul feels at home. And if so then your heart will feel it too, and you'll know.

Anyway, good luck.

This doesn't make any sense. If you are considering becoming Catholic, then at the very least you find the concept of deity appealing, and wouldn't currently identify as an atheist (perhaps as somebody who doesn't presently have a paricular religion, but certainly not an "atheist").

Your choice, definitely not anyone here.

Try reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and Case for Faith by Lee Stroebel for a start on your decision. Attend mass and ask questions!

Putting God first and following Jesus is not a small decision but it is the only path to salvation! Once you are on that narrow path it is definitely not easy so don't let anyone tell you that.

God Bless

She struggled but she also persevered to the end!

Kempis's book the Imitation of Christ is a good book to read also!

The alpha course offered by many Churches is another good place to start! http://alpha.org/default.asp

I'm not really in the place to speak about personal religion choices seeing I don't have one, but I think if you where to become a part of a religion I don't think it should be one where you are to almost fear your own god with the price of going to hell and following everyones theory on how your life should be lived now that you have chosen a god

On the pro side, converting to Catholicism will keep you busy at catechism and keep you off Answers.

On the con side, your becoming a Catholic will probably not improve Holy Mother Church.

Why not try becoming a flagellant? You can expiate your sins, fulfill your fantasies and please your many fans all at the same time!

you shouldnt become anything.. just classify yourself depending on what you believe.

you can use this site to help you find out what you are:

its only based on religions so atheism is not really a alternative.. it does have humanism in there though..

if u want to be rational and believe whats true you have to be an atheist.

answer to the first question..yes on occasion I have caught myself thinking...

now the second question... do you mind giving your soul away and becoming a slave?
not only do you not get paid for this job but they'll convince you that you need to pay them.. so I guess it's worse than being a slave... it will require an immediate spiritual lobotomy. first incision is baptism... I guess it's the same mentality as a circumcision.. it don't hurt as much when you are a baby...
