Yes, it is perfectly normal. They are curious and want to check out each other to see how they look. I would talk to him and tell him that it isn't acceptable to remove his clothing in front of anyone. Tell him that he can look at himself in the bathroom when he is bathing but that he can't expose himself to other people because it isn't polite behavior. Ask him if he has any questions and if he does, answer him honestly. All kids are curious about the human body. There are books for children that explain how our bodies work and the differences between girls and boys. They are age appropriate and it might be time to consider looking at them together. Check them out first to make sure they are what you would want him to see.

You too huh, been there just a few months ago. My nephew likes to show his off to my son and my son felt he needed to compete. It is normal actually believe it or not. The Dr said as long as they aren't touching each other they are fine. Think of it like this, men do the same thing when they are grown up. They will check each other out in the locker rooms and compare sizes always wanting to be the bigger one. It is just a male thing. You can talk to your son and let him know that his private area is for him and this may be the time to start talking about nobody should be touching it and he shouldn't touch anybody elses.

This is very normal, they are just curious and they are only 5 years old. I have 5 year old twins and they do similar things. Like peeing into the toilet at the same time lol. Just make sure you talk to your son and explain some things to him so he dosn't whip it out during class one day. He will grow out of this soon so don't worry so much!

Yes, this is normal. The best thing you can do is talk to your son about what happend explain to him that we have different parts and let him feel comfortable do not punish him , worst thing you could do. Also let the other boys parents know what happened so they can have a talk with their son as well ! Good Luck !!!

its totally normalfor kids to be curious, when i was like thier age i looked at my private parts, my mom walked in on me and my friend, so she gave me an age appropiate talk about the birds and bees. But the worst thing you can possibly do is punish him, tell him its not okay, but dont tell him its bad or wrong its all apart of the human body.

yes this is normal. Talk to him and use correct language. Tell him his penis is his private area and no one should look or touch that area except for his doctor. It's very important to explain the difference between good touches and bad touches and good secrets and bad secrets.

Your pediatrician can help if you need advice on that topic!

Quite normal. What you should do is simply remind your son that his penis is private and he shouldn't be showing it to everyone. But don't make a major issue out of it. All kids go through an "I'll show you mine if you show me your's" phase

Very normal. You might try making more noise or knock before entering.
