There's no epiphany. There's no way to be 100% sure. Either you choose to believe, or you don't. Is that correct?

As an atheist I answer your question:
Yes,
It's a decision,
most of us know about evolution and all arguments on God existence,
at the end we decide whether to choose God or not,
the reason is that this decision is such an important one,
makes a big difference in ones life,
people choose to be a believer or a non-believer for many reasons,
I guess not believing in God works better for me in my life,
Once again a good question you asked!

There is more than one definition of epiphany. I will tell you that there is epiphany because I had it. It's true what you say, a person has to make a choice, but those that God wants gets coaxing. I myself felt the strange pull towards God ever since I could remember. It translates into an urge that you might not understand, but it has to do with nothing that you can see.

There were times when I was witnessed to later on that I almost reacted to positively. But I held back. And it wouldn't have been the last time.

People have tried to explain away what I went through when I finally did respond to God, but in my heart I knew that they were wrong. It was as real as my keyboard.

Once you get what I got from experience, you cannot deny God any longer. It would be dishonest, illogical, and stupid for me to do that. He really got a hold on me. And I wasn't raised in the church.

So though the choosing is definitely a part of the equation, it isn't all of the equation.

You know, being a believer it's hard for me to believe that anybody doesn't believe. Sort of sounds like the problem your'e having. I'll see you on the other side and we can discuss this further lol.
