You could also pour tomato sauce and spices over the chicken and bake it in the oven. I like to do this because you can use frozen chicken and it still tastes good. I usually throw some mozzarella cheese on right at the end of the cook time. Just cook at 350 for about 35 minutes.

yes, i think u should cook the chicken breast in a seperat pan forst, just to brown it a little then simmer it in a tomato sauce, if u like your food well seasoned i guess adding salt is ok, but just adding herbs would be great also. you should serve it with rotini or penne, because they are much easier to eat with dishes like these. you should also sprinkle the hot chicken and pasta with some grated parmesean or mozzarella cheese, this tastes great

Sure it would be good. Remember red BBQ sauce is mainly a sweet and spicy tomato sauce. What you are describing somewhat resembles chicken cacciatore`.
I personally sometimes cut up chicken breasts and cook them in spaghetti sauce instead of meatballs. It's really good.
Good Luck :-)

take some tomato sauce add any herbs you fancy, perhaps a little mustard and honey mix it together and brush over your chicken while it cooks, just turn the chicken in the sauce a few times and it will taste divine!
I love garlic it always adds an edge, and by trying different mixes you could coat your chicken breasts in different combinations!
Bet it tastes yummy, Good Luck!

Sounds like chicken cacciatore. Don't forget chunked peppers and onions and the Parmesan cheese. I think skinning and frying the chicken first in oil improves this dish somewhat.
