Most bullets are mostly made of lead.
However, many hunting bullets for rifles are have copper jackets, copper cores, teflon or plastic tips, Silver tips, stainless steel, tungsten additives, and other materials.
All these and more can be used in the design to make them fly further, land more accurately and retain their mass on impact.

Most are primarily lead. Cast bullets may be hardened by using an alloy of lead with, say, tin and/or antimony. Jacketed bullets usually are lead core with a gilding-metal (copper alloy) or, less commonly, pure copper jacket. Some bullets have used mild steel jackets. Tungsten and steel have also been used in the "solids" used for dangerous game like elephant. Bismuth has been used in shot with some success but not in bullets. Lately, pure copper bullets have had some popularity in hunting rifles.

the correct answer for your testing purpose would be C-lead.
BUT....
Bullets or projectiles are made of all of the above for certain purposes.
Steel is used in armor piercing rounds, artillery rounds (military and law enforcement) as well as shot for shotguns
Tungsten also in military use, along with other nasty stuff like depleted Uranium
Bismuth is also used in shotgun loads and a few other applications which I am not too informed about right now.
So traditionally, lead would be the right answer, but realistically, it would be all of them.

Good answer D58 you covered all the bases. I seem to remember some bullets made out of sintered iron that the Army played around with. And there are fradgable bullets sold for indoor self protection. Don't forget the old wax and plastic bullets you could buy to shoot indoors for target practice. Powered by primers only they were fun.

Lead; plus copper if the bullet is jacketed. Lead can be mixed with antimony and tin. Other materials can be used for the jacket (copper+nickel, for example).

Lead is what is commonly used, but with how toxic lead is a lot of manufacturers are going with a new dense plastic resin composite that is less toxic to the environment.
