I need to get my expander in my mouth in a few days and I dont see the point to it...!! I know i know, its to make my upper jaw wider and something like that, but i still dont see what the SIZE of my jaw has to do with my teeth....
i mean GIVE ME A BREAK! They just extracted FOUR teeth....FOUUUUURRRR!!! Must I get expanders right after as well now?? grrr.
oh and one more questions (about the extractions) if i got the extractions on my premolars today, how long do i have to keep putting new gauges in 'em?? I DONT wanna get a dry sockett!!!!

If the jaw is not wide enough, the (remaining) teeth will still be crowded and will be very crooked. The orthodontist should have told you how long to keep the gauze in.

The teeth in your upper and lower jaw do not line up properly. This is called, posterior cross-bite.
