Well John is Juan... but Jonathan is different. Its usually the same spelling but the pronunciation is different. As far as I know there are two ways to pronounce it: Jo-Nah-Tan and then I have a friend that pronounces it: Ho-Nah-Tan .

The same. Pronounced: (let's see if I can do this)- Joe - Not - Tan. I'm from spanish decent so my family uses a lot of americanized names and that's how I've heard it pronouced.

It appears in the Bible as "Jonathán" or "Jonatán", but I have never heard of anybody by that name.
It derives from the same hebrew word as "John", which in Spanish is "Juan".
