Take cool showers, exfoliate but don't scrub to hard, will irritate already irritated skin. Use mild soap, no heavily perfumed products. Wear breathable clothes, cotton is good. Also detergent used to wash clothes should be mild or unscented. A little sun exposure (minutes not hours)and when possible loose clothes and at home go bare to let skin breath. When you sweat, change the shirt for a dry one. But best bet is to see a dermatologist, If she is embarrassed tell her a Doctor has definitely seen worse.
Good luck.

Get a loofah on a stick, or a nice stiff shower brush (long handle for both the loofah and/or the brush). Hit the shower or the bath tub, with said loofah or brush and some nice antibacterial soap! Every time you wash your body, wash your back. Most people when bathing or showering don't pay as much attention to their backs as they do the rest of their bodies. This should help. If not, check the fabrics that you wear, this may be the culprit as well.

people with oily skin have problems and you can rub and scrub and do all those creams and stuff .... your ''friend'' needs to get a good sunburn or a chemical peel to remove a layer or two of that oily outer skin -- that will help but the best forum is to go to the dermatologist and get the cure and that is much better than any of these Q&A's on Yahjooooooo .........................

She can buy a loofah with a handle and wash her back with that. Tanning also helps keep the acne cleared up.

Bacne, otherwise known as back acne, is a very common problem for many people during the summer months. The good news is that bacne is not a problem that you need to deal with. There are many steps that you can take during the summer months, or during any of the time during the year, which help you prevent and treat bacne.

Be Sure to Wash Your Skin Every Day

One of the main keys to getting rid of your bacne or preventing it from happening in the first place is making sure to wash your skin every day. While some find that it is "okay" to only wash their skin every other day, you would certainly not want to go any longer than this without washing your skin. Using basic soap and water is one of the first things that you must do if you want to prevent or treat bacne. It is one of the keys to basic hygiene, as well as one of the keys to getting rid of the acne on your back.

Use a Scrub on Your Back to Unclog Pores

One of the things that many people find to be very effective for treating or preventing acne of the back is using a scrub that is designed to unclog pores. There are many ways that you can go about doing this. There are treatments at spas which are designed to provide you with a scrub for your bacne which are known to be very effective, though they are often quite pricey. You can also buy scrubs which are designed for your back. Some people find that using a regular facial scrub on their back works just as well. The choice is all yours, but the most important thing is for you to realize that a scrub used on the back can really help prevent or reduce bacne. One of the options that you may want to consider is an pore unclogging scrub designed by Biore.

Apply a Moisturizer to the Area

Moisturizing is a very important step to preventing or getting rid of your bacne. However, it is important to keep in mind that you should never use just any moisturizer if you want to get of the acne on your back - or anywhere else, for that matter. It is important to make sure that you do not choose a moisturizing lotion which includes any oil, or you may begin to notice that the condition of your bacne ends up worse than it originally was before.

Wash Off All Sunscreen or Tanning Oil

Both sunscreen and tanning oil can cause your skin to become very greasy and oily if it is not washed off. Immediately after spending a day basking in the sun or at the pool, you will want to make sure that you wash the area where you have applied sunscreen or tanning oil thoroughly. If you have applied tanning oil or sunscreen to your chest area, it is important to keep in mind that you should wash it off thoroughly as well. Chests are known to be prone to breaking out in acne, especially during the summer time.

Use More Than Just a Wash Cloth

You may have always only used a wash cloth when washing your back, or areas which you know break out in acne. However, this is one of the biggest mistakes that you are making. Your best option is to use something that will provide you with the ability to exfoliate the skin, such as a sponge or a loofa. Keep in mind that you should be sure to use it gently, however. Applying more pressure to your sponge or loofa when washing your back will only be likely to irritate or cause damage to your skin, rather than help you prevent or get rid of your bacne.

Take Advantage of Beach Water

Although you may not even know it, the salt water that you find at the beach can actually help treat your bacne. All that you need to do is make sure that the affected area of your back is underwater in the ocean for at least five to ten minutes. Once you get out of the water, you should allow your back to dry, by laying facedown on a towel. Repeat this as many times throughout the day as you can, or at least three times. After several days of allowing your back to come into contact with salt water, you will be likely to see results.

Apply Lemon Juice to the Area

Applying lemon juice to the area which has been affected is one of the best ways to reduce the amount of bacne that you have, or treat your bacne all together. The reason that is so effective is because of the high amount of acid which can be found in lemon juice. Keep in mind that anything else that contains a lot of acidity will work much the same way. When you apply lemon juice on the area, the acidity that can be found in it works to kill the bacteria which may be behind your acne breakouts.

Leave the Area Alone to Avoid Irritation

Although you may want to touch the area where acne has affected your back, the most important thing is to make sure that you leave it well enough alone. Touching the area or popping any of the pimples will only lead to further irritation. While you may think that it will help get rid of the acne on your back, the truth is that this will only cause the condition of your bacne to worsen.
