I was recently (two months) denied by citi credit card. I want some credit cards to pay my school. What is the best card to apply in this situation. BOA and capital one arent increasing my limit soon I guess although I always pay the full balance in time. So guys please suggest me some ways so that I can get a card with at least 2500 -3000 credit limit.
Which card to apply next and when?

Thank you in advance.

The limit is usually set by the card issuance company or bank. You will need a good credit records to qualify for the $2,500 - $3K limit. Request to Capital One that you'll like an increase in limit.

Credit card companies base their limit increases on several things: payment history, and current debt to income ratio among those. You haven't had your cards very long so they may be hesitant to extend your credit.

As for paying for your school - since you're having a problem getting credit cards - why not try for a student loan. These tend to have longer payment schedules and lower interest rates anyway. Your school counselor can help you get this setup or you can visit www.salliemae.com.

You would be much better off just getting a student loan instead of trying to get that much credit. The interest rates tend to be lower too. Since you haven't had your cards very long they're not going to just automatically raise your limits until you develop a history with them. Go talk to the financial aid office at your school or even your bank. Good luck.

Apply for a Stafford loan, you do not start paying back until six months after you are out of school and the interest rate is low, and you have 10 - 20 years to pay them back.Easy to apply for and government backed, see you student loan counselor.
