what to do about my teeth?

hi - let me see if I c an describe my situation - I'm currently missing about 10 teeth, and I have an upper partial. 5 lowers need crowns. I DID NOT neglect my teeth - here's what happened, essentially a combination of 2 things.1) I got critically ill, I was adrenal insufficient, and at one point all my teeth were repaired, and then within a month everything pretty much crashed, at the time I had infected teeth, and they couldn't get them out, because at the time they didn't want to kill me, so these infected teeth (don't ask me how it happened so fast I don't know - my adrenals wreen't working) - were in there infected a long time - I just started making imporovements in May - and by august I was finally doing well enough to take them out, so thank God the infected teeth are now gone. and I now have an upper partial. Part of what happened also was my lower jaw was/is too far forward, and I had all kinds of trouble with my jaw joint,(please let me finish before answering-con)

and my bite was off in that my teeth were right on top of each other and my teeth essentially got shattered. I had been trying to get help since I was 19 and I am 45 now, and I had all kinds of opinions, and in general I wished I would have gotten braces, but at that time they really were scared to work on me. whenever they did the records they found my situation was more complex than they wanted to tackle,plus I didn't have the money and it didn't get done, oh well, so my question is my health is improving, my teeth look terrilble -it's much better having the partial now, but I don't know that I want that as a permanent solution. I'm on disability so I don't know that I have money for implants and all. There is still question about my jaw -I am having all kinds of jaw pain, and I understand they can fix my lower jaw now something they didn't know how to do before, so I'm very confused and need to know where to go and what type of dentist to see.thanks.

Well you should see a surgeon of course. They should be able to assist you. I suggest you call 1 800 dentist.
