just yesterday i was laying on the floor and was trying to get up, my right knee was straighten and i tried to pull myself up in that position. i felt a pop like when you stretch out a rubberband to its max and it snaps. the back of my knee felt like it snapped or popped. the pain lasted for a couple of minutes and i just went on with my day. just this morning i felt discomfort and decided if it would snap again if i bent my knee while standing. to my suprise it snapped again and it hurted again. now i am feeling a lot of discomfort in the back of my knee and dont know what it is. I am walking fine but i keep feeling bothered by it. it doesnt hurt, i just feel discomfort. what can it be?

sounds like a muscle or ligament is strained in the back of your knee. I recommend you see a chiropractor to find out what is happening and how to straighten out the situation. Chiropractors are excellent for this type of problem. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.
