The Earth's climate always changes. There is no such thing as a static climate. It's been warmer in the past before man, and it will get hotter in the future no matter what we do.
It will also get cooler on its own, as it has in the past, and as it will again in the future.
Drive the car you have fun driving, it makes no difference.

However, there is proof that the Earth's climate is getting warmer despite causes. The best idea is prepare for the possible consequences and problems that will be the result of this.
My evidence is not through what scientists or a hypocritical politician making a movie says, it is based on my personal observations and various other things that point out its existance.
I grew up in the Midwest and the long harsh winter were the norm. Now these days I seen nothing but green winters. That is not normal. When every year the weather forecasters say this is the hottest year on record, something is not right. When
levels of Lake Erie and Lake Mead are dropping due to evaporation rates, something is definitely not right. When various states forests catch fire every year due to unusually long dry and hot seasons (California, Arizona, Florida, Nevada) that should be ringing alarm bells. When Insect life and marine life in the ocean is going extinct due to water temperature rising, and the Amazon forest is suffering desertification due to climate changes, it is not a made up liberal lie.

Regardless of the accuracy of global warming speculations, we should still "go green" to save the environment. Fuel efficiency, energy efficiency, reduced pollution, and conscious consumption practices all benefit not only the environment but also public health and national security.
So believe what you want about global warming, but don't think that your disbelief excuses you from being a good environmental steward. There are still thousands of reasons that we need to be aware of our impact on the planet.

It's been proven, no matter if you call it global warming or not, the earth it steadily getting hotter.
this generation is always going to say "who cares, it's not like it will affect me" and that's true - it probably won't. but the earth is in such bad shape that the PhD professors at my university are lecturing that possibly as soon as our grandkids will feel the negative effects of it.
Your car is putting off poisonous gases which is making the ozone layer less dense and that is what is making the earth warmer. eventually the ozone layer will be eaten away so we have no protection from the sun.
this is what my professors are lecturing about...and though i'm not interested (i'm a psych major) they do have good points...i'm sort of eh on the subject myself - but i figured that maybe i had some good info from them..i dunno..

There IS proof. Undeniable proof. Antarctica and Greenland are on the way to melting enough to raise the global water level 20 feet higher-enough to flood most of Florida, Manhattan, Shanghai, and California, among many other places. Polar bears are drowning for the first time in documented history. Sheet ice 700 feet deep has broken off of mainland Antarctica in a chunk larger than Rhode Island. This has happened in several places.
Go to climatecrisis.com and then tell me there isn't something happening.

To me global warming means "Global destabilization" since the weather around many parts of the world is not only getting warmer, it is just becoming more erratic with fiercer storms, colder and hotter weather, more floods, etc, so as to why they call it global warming I am not quite sure, but I really think that it should be called global destabilization. This is causing many troules throughout the world that is affecting both nature and life on Earth.
At any rate, I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:
http://ecowellness.multiply.com/... for excellent inspirational info within my blog to help not only our world and its creatures, but to also open peoples hearts and minds to many amazing wonders that life has to offer. I also have lots of info in my blog to help fuel peoples imaginations to many possibilities that can be found only in the minds eye.
Along with lots of environmental info, amazing environmental pictures and videos (These videos show the beauty of this world and what life can be like if people take the time to appreciate life’s true beauty).
Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!
Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)
I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

Because my state is now in the worst kind of drought we've experience in modern times(New Mexico). It used to be no worse than 90 degrees during the summer, but every day this last summer has been a record-breaker.
Food for thought.

global warming is happening right now as im writing
I'll make it simple
the weather is really crazy have you seen the temp.
biology class you take it? and carbon cycle
if you say why worry about global warming
think what is the actual causes for changes in
temp. weather and death in coral reefs, north pole
and what about limited water less than 3%(not acurate)
you dont have one
its supported by facts stop denying

"The earliest records of temperature measured by thermometers are from western Europe beginning in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The network of temperature collection stations increased over time and by the early 20th century, records were being collected in almost all regions, except for polar regions where collections began in the 1940s and 1950s. A set of temperature records from over 7,000 stations around the world has been compiled by the NOAA National Climate Data Center to create the Global Historical Climatology Network - GHCN (GHCN Version 2 data set; Peterson and Vose 1997). About 1,000 of these records extend back into the 19th century."

It doesn't matter whether or not you believe that global warming exists. It's a directly measured effect:
http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/research/2005/ann/global-blended-temp-pg.gif
Scientists in fact are quite confident that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png
There is proof that your car contributes to global warming. It's called the greenhouse effect, and the fact that your car releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas.
The reason we need to worry is because there will be many negative consequences as global warming continues to rise. The WHO estimates that 150,000 people are already dying annually worldwide as a direct result of global warming, and that this number will double in the next 20 years:
http://ens-newswire.com/ens/dec2003/2003-12-12-10.asp
Global warming will lead to increased droughts, heat waves, water shortages, floods, stronger hurricanes, etc. etc. Potentially it could lead to a 23 foot sea level rise if the Greenland Ice Sheet melts. If global temperatures increase another few degrees Centigrade, it will trigger several feedbacks which will cause a runaway greenhouse effect:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runaway_greenhouse#Positive_feedback_and_runaway_greenhouse_effect
If we don't start reducing our greenhouse gas emissions within the next decade or so, we won't be able to avoid these consequences. That's why we need to worry about global warming.
