Depends on state tax rate, if you have co-pay for insurance etc. Would claim two on your W-2. Since your gross income is under 18K a year you will most likely take home (not including insurance since we do not know what that it) $275-$290 a week, and since you can claim a child on your taxes should receive a sizable return when you file you taxes next year, if they keep in place the child tax credit

With an income of $17,000, head of household, and a dependent child, and no other income, you will owe no federal income tax. There should be no deduction for federal income tax.

Income: $17,000
Less standard deduction of $7,850
Less two exemptions: $6,800

Taxable income $2,400
Tax: $240

But you will get a child tax credit and additional child tax credit which will reduce your taxes to zero and give you a payment of $760. Plus you will get an Earned Income Credit of as much as $2,400. Total refund over $3,000.

You can ask your employer about receiving some Advance Earned Income Credit in your pay.

Go to www.irs.gov, individual, IRS Withholding Calculator. If you will work this to the end, you will have the correct withholding.

From the IRS website, you can also access States and find out that info too.

Good Luck

Interesting that you should ask. I had to adjust my withholding today as well. This is a great site for helping you determine what you should claim on your W-4 form.
