I use EriseanLady as my avatar name to honor Eris.
Although there are people who only see the Greek Goddess of Strife in her negative aspect, I also see the aspect of her inspiring the drive to better ourselves.
This is a view of Eris that is found not just in modern philosophies such as Discordianism, but also in the writings of Hesiod
"It was never true that there was only one Eris. There have always been two on earth. There is one you could like when you understand her. The other is hateful. The two Erites have separate natures. There is one Eris who builds up evil war, and slaughter. She is harsh; no man loves her, but under compulsion and by will of the immortals, men promote this rough Eris (Strife). But the other one was born the elder daughter of black Nyx. The son of Kronos, who sits on high and dwells in the bright air set her in the roots of the earth and among men; she is far kinder. She pushes the shiftless man to work, for all his laziness. A man looks at his neighbour, who is rich: then he too wants work; for the rich man presses on with his ploughing and planting and ordering of his estate. So the neighbour envies the neighbour who presses on toward wealth. Such Eris (Strife) is a good friend to mortals." - Hesiod, Works and Days 11

I am an Army wife and hooah is a word used in the army to express esprit de corps and hooahwife is a term sometimes used by armywives to express that they love their lifestyle and want to be a good army wife and not one of those whinny wives that complains about everything and doesn't know anything!
Hooah!

In my biz, we all carry nicknames.
I work 35 days on and take 35 days off. I travel around the world. I go to trouble spots and work out some pretty sticky situations. Once had someone say "send over that gunslinger we brought in last time."
The nick name stuck, so I incorporated it here.

I played a lot of Sports in H.S. & some Pro Ball. In H.S. my coaches said I ran with the Football like a "Moose" crashing through the Forest, & "Moose" stuck so, that only about half a dozen people in H.S. knew my real name. The "Mose" part came about when Tam signed me up on Yahoo when I had a really bad head cold & my "Nose / Mose" was so red & I couldn't say "Nose", so she thought it would be a "Funny" moniker for me & she knew I was feeling so bad I wouldn't "Argue" with her over it!!! no one has ever given himself his aviator name. the other guys give it to him. but that's probably not what you meant, just guessing.
ps "Spiritual Gunslinger," what an awesome name. The Roland kind or the Wyatt Earp kind?

Don't you earn your aviator name? That's what they said in Top Gun.
You mean "avatar." My name means resurrection, and the phoenix is a symbol of that.

I didn't name my sunglasses.
But my friends have given me the nickname "Maverick" from the fact that I look like Tom Cruise from Top Gun.
